OUR STORY
The FELDENKRAIS for Business ™ Method began to evolve in 2016, under the supervision of Garet Newell, Director of the Feldenkrais Educational ITC Center in England, the author of the book (picture below) which lined out the basic guidelines for the FELDENKRAIS for Business™ Method. In 2018, Lucija Zmajšek used the information in the book to create basic guidelines for the FELDENKRAIS for Business™ Method. At the beginning of 2019, the Faculty of Sport, at the University of Ljubljana, conducted an independent study of effects of the Method on employees, of one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical company Lek. The results showed significant improvements, both in the area of movement and cognitive abilities, as well as in the psychological field of overcoming stress and burnout. More about our story is available in gallery below.

3. DR. MOSHE FELDENKRAIS
FELDENKRAIS for Business™ Method principles are derived from the Feldenkrais Method.
Feldenkrais understood that patterns of everyday action and posture reflect the thinking, perceiving, emotional life and self-image of the individual. A lack of awareness of these patterns leads to habits which can limit potential as well as be the basis of problems of both mental and physical health. As Feldenkrais so aptly put it “when you know what you can do what you want”.
The Feldenkrais Method is unique in that it is based on sound mechanical and neurological principles, yet is easily accessible through simple and practical lessons. The Method is both experiential and educational. Feldenkrais was a keen observer of the organic learning of babies and young children. He recreated the curiosity of the child – excited by learning and discovering new abilities – in an endless variety of lessons. The Feldenkrais Method has a broad range of applications – it can improve the skills of professionals in fields, such as theatre, dance, music and sports; it can facilitate recovery from injuries, operations or other trauma; it can reduce chronic tension and pain; it can help the senior citizen remain mobile, flexible and independent and it is also a valuable tool for children with neurological or learning difficulties.
